Notice from the Complaint Department

Today when DBF and I were out, we were in Wal*mart and I was in the mood to get a Slim Jim when we were leaving. So I got a 5 pack of the little ones because it was only $1. When we got in the car I went to open the box to eat one come to find out there were only 4 in the pack. I was a little mad but nothing I could really do since we had already left Wal*mart and it really wasn't there fault either it happened. So when I got to my dad's I went to the Slim Jim website to see if they had a way I could contact them to let them know what had happened. I found an area where I was able to send them a complaint explaining what had happened.

A few hours later I get a reply saying:

I was excited to get this reply back so fast. I wasn't expecting them to send me anything even tho I knew they probably would have, all I wanted to do was let them know what had happened. See even a complaint can get you something good out of it in the end :D

Not that I make a habit of complaining to companies, but maybe 3 times in my life, I have complained to a company, and all were valid complaints. Actually, once was just PRAISE for a certain product. Anyway, all three times, I received coupons for free products. Dole ended up giving me 4 coupons for free product. Most companies can easily redeem themselves by giving out free product in exchange for feedback.

I hate making complaints to companies but sometimes you just have to if something happens.

Awhile back I had sent a few compliments to a few companies in hopes maybe they would send me some coupons for products and it worked. I absolutely LOVE dove deodorant, it's the only one I can use with out breaking into a rash so I sent them a nice email explaining that I loved there product and they sent me an email back saying thank you for loving there products and they would send me some coupons. I was excited.

This was my first complaint. Like I said I wasn't mad it happened, but I just wanted to let them know in case there were more in that batch that the same thing happened to. Feedback of any kind is what helps make a company run smoothly no matter how big of company it is :D
